History

Founded in 1998 under the leadership of Dr P. Panagopoulos, ECOS Consulting S.A. was created through the merger of two highly respected consulting firms, bringing together complementary expertise in water engineering, infrastructure development and water resources management.

The company’s roots date back to 1960, when Gofas & Associates S.A. pioneered the design of major water infrastructure projects in Greece, including dams, water supply systems, irrigation schemes and wastewater treatment facilities. This engineering heritage was further strengthened through the integration of ECOS Consulting Ltd., established in collaboration with Dutch water experts from Delft Hydraulics (now Deltares).

Today, ECOS combines this rich legacy with modern engineering practices to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions in water infrastructure, marine works and environmental management.
